Everything Fits in the Room at American Realness

Had the joy and challenge of production managing/stage managing for this intense performance art piece.  Incredible artists and one of the most thrilling works I've ever been a part of.  They literally built a wall in the middle of a warehouse in Brooklyn.  A real. Brick and mortar. Wall.  One of my favorites by far.  Great to work with Abron's Arts Center, the American Realness Festival, Simone Aughterlony and her company. Founded, directed and curated by Thomas Benjamin Snapp Pryor, and co-presented by Gibney Dance in association with Abrons Arts Center, American Realness returns January 9-16, 2018 for its ninth consecutive season. For 2018 the festival expands its scope with multiple off-site partner venues, including The Invisible Dog Art Center, SculptureCenter, Danspace Project and Participant Inc. With these partners the American Realness 2018 performance program presents 17 evening-length performance works in 89 performances featuring three world premieres, three North American premieres, four New York City premieres and six encore engagements including NY Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award winners and nominees.
